I’m pretty sure I should talk more about my goats

2

So goats comprise a surprising amount of my life. Well, I suppose it shouldn’t be surprising, animal care-taking is a lot of work, and I own 10 of them. (If you can call owning a goat really “owning” them, ha!)

But anyway. It occurred to me that maybe I should share some of this animal craziness. Well, if you haven’t already seen them on Instagram.

So here’s my week in goats…

Duchess, who broke her leg a few months ago, had a visit with the vet. We had apples as treats on the way there.

More on apples: Beltane is learning that I provide treats and is quite insistent I hold them for her so she can eat them.

She’s also pretty damn cute running at me when I’m holding an apple.

Sari decided to try to steal the grain from the next door pen. This is her attempt to go under the wall.

Also, Phe has stopped taking her vitamins like a good girl, so I harkened back to her bottle-baby roots and hide the minerals in a milk/molasses concoction. She was delighted to suck it down.

Finally, with the upcoming rain and general weather crappiness, along with my not seeing the Adventuring Trio (eating blackberry bushes at my parent’s house) as often, we had some cuddle time. Phe likes to try to lay on me. Duchess was jealous. Sassy didn’t really care.

Okay so this title is a little click-bait-y. But stay with me, because I’ve got a point, an interesting story—and it’s actually positive. This is also going to get personal. Context: if you’ve been following…
